The AIMS July Newsletter is now online, highlighting the activities of the Wheat Data Interoperability Working Group (WDI) within the framework of the Research Data Alliance (RDA). The WDI's goal is to provide a common, open standard framework for describing, representing, linking, and publishing wheat data.
This newsletter reviews the case for establishing the Wheat Data Interoperability Guidelines, which will promote and sustain wheat data sharing, reusability, and interoperability. Furthermore, presents the results of a survey conducted from the 7th of April to the 3rd of June 2014 which sought to identify the existing data management practices within the wheat community.
To gain further insight on WDI, AIMS interviewed Esther DZALE YEUMO KABORE, one of the co-chairs of the working group who summarizes the current activities of the Wheat Data Interoperability Working Group.
