e-Discussions are moderated, electronic discussion forums that provide an opportunity for the CIARD community to discuss matters of interest on a CIARD discussion list. These discussions are free of charge and available to anyone who wishes to subscribe to the list.

How to register

To participate on the E-Consultation on CIARD, if you are not already a registered member of CIARD, you will need to first sign-up/register with CIARD and then, after your login is approved, again request the CIARD Web Support Team to approve your registration for the Working group.

The step wise procedure is:

For Sign-up/Login

  1. Go to http://www.ciard.net
  2. At the right hand upper corner of the home page, you will see the box: “Search,   Connect, Sign-Up, Login”
  3. If you do not have your Login name and password, you will need to Sign Up first.
  4. Click on Sign-up and follow instructions.
  5. You will receive an acknowledgement from the CIARD Website Management Team.
  6. If you do not get one with 24 hours, please send an e-mail inquiring your signing up status to the CIARD Website Management Team to the information@ciard.net

If you are a registered member of CIARD, you need to register for the Working Group that is organizing the E-Consultation.

Registering for a specific e-consultation


  1. Please login first to the CIARD Web site by clicking on the Login box on the right upper corner of the CIARD website’s home page.
  2. Please go to the Working Group by clicking on  “Get Involved” and then in the Drop Down Menu on “Working Groups”
  3. In the working groups, please click on “Join this group” at the bottom of the Group Discussion
  4. Please follow instructions.If you have not logged in, you will need to login.
  5. You will receive an acknowledgement from the CIARD Website Management Team.
  6. If you do not get one with 24 hours, please send an e-mail inquiring your signing up status to the CIARD Website Management Team to the information@ciard.ne
  7. When your joining of the Working Group is approved, you will see your account page.
  8. Please click on the “Get Involved” of the Main Menu and then on E-Discussions
  9. You will see a box on upcoming discussions and previous discussions.
  10. Click on the discussion you want to join. This should lead you to the E-Consultation page
  11. In case of any difficulty please contact the CIARD Website Management Team at information@ciard.net

This two-step process is used to protect your privacy, safety of the CIARD Website and meet the requirements of European Laws concerning Internet use. 


Please participate. Your contribution does make a difference. Consider carefully and respect other contributors and their opinions and perspectives as you would expect yourself and your contributions to be.

The e-forums are used for discussion and to encourage people to discuss the questions proposed, views and information, allowing users to offer and receive assistance and advice while enjoying lively debate with other professionals.

How it works

  1. Users post posts
  2. All users are permitted and encouraged to participate in the e-discussion
  3. Once submitted, unless removed at the discretion of the e-discussion moderators, posted messages will remain available to the public. 

Terms of Use

The e-discussion facilitators reserve the right to edit and/or withhold messages that do not comply with the forum guidelines. Users shall not do any of the following:

  1. Use foul language or obscene images. This site is a forum for discussion, and general attacks on a person or idea will not be tolerated.
  2. Repeatedly post the same message, or post an unsolicited commercial message to one or more discussions or boards. Such messages are considered spam. Duplicate messages will be deleted or consolidated by the e-consultation moderators.
  3. Post copyrighted material without authorization or otherwise illegal material. Users are requested to notify the e-consultation moderators if they identify such postings on the e-consultation platform.
  4. Abuse this forum in any way not specifically mentioned above.

Members shall not post material protected by intellectual property laws, including copyright, unless they own the rights or have received all necessary permissions to redistribute such material and to authorize others to do so.

Members may also share resources by providing a link to its original source, providing the relevant terms of use of the original rights holder(s) are respected.
